SUMMARY:47 hour Armed Guard Training Course
DESCRIPTION:**Note** Due to the high demand of our Armed Security Guard trainees\, we have established a mandatory 4 hour prerequisite class called “Introduction to Armed Guard”. It is both classroom and live fire prior to approval for our 47Hour Training Class. \nGuards who carry firearms are required to complete a 47 Hour Firearms course before they can be licensed as an armed security guard. This course includes seven hours of classroom instruction in the Use of Force (NYS Penal Law Art. 35) followed by a written examination\, and 40 hours on the firing range followed by weapons qualification. Upon successful completion of this course the guard is issued a training certificate. This certificate must accompany the security guard’s registration application when submitted to the Department of State. \nThis class is 5 days. You must attend all 5 days\, no exceptions! \nThere is a 5 person minimum in order for us to hold the class! \nWhat you need to bring to class: \n•Eye and Ear Protection \n•Baseball Cap \n•Security Shirt or Jacket/ Duty Pants (No shorts) \n•Dress for the weather! \n•NYS Security Guard Card \n•NYS Pistol Permit \n•Level 2 minimum/Level 3 recommended Retention Holster \n•Pants Belt \n•Duty Belt \n•Magazine Holder \n•Firearms Cleaning Kit \n•3 minimum Firearm Specific Magazines \n•Duty Weapon in 9mm\, 10mm\, 40 cal\, 45 cal semi automatic OR .38/.357 revolver \n•600 Rounds of Ammunition- 450/ball ammo/practice ammo\, 150 JHP-duty ammo and 5 rounds 12 gauge slug 2 3/4″

We’ll assist in preparation of the permit application.\nSubmit copy of driver’s license or any government issued form of photo ID.\nPassport sized photo.\nSet of fingerprints on fingerprint card.\nAn application fee sent to the state of Utah for $47 for non-Utah resident.\n\nFlorida/Arizona Concealed Firearm Permit: Requirements: \n\nComplete a Florida/Arizona CCW class instructed by an NRA instructor\nComplete an FBI background check.\nSubmit a completed application to the states of Florida and Arizona.
