Close Quarters Vehicle Combatives Course – 2 days

Close Quarters Vehicle Combative Course is an intermediate to advanced course in responding to close range, high threat incidents in, around, over and under vehicles.  It’s based on high probability of real world incidents along with the study of human survival behavior under duress.  

Course Details:

Close Quarters Vehicle Combative Course students will learn how to mitigate incidents not covered in conventional training and will build an intuitive understanding of the dynamics of fighting around vehicles and real world vehicle ballistics. Drills will incorporate: threat recognition; personal safety and readiness procedures that reduce the chance and effect of criminal assault; non-traditional shooting positions; dynamic movement out of and around vehicles.

Requirements: Prior advanced handgun training skills required.

Live ballistic demos with a variety of ammunition will be conducted as the class explores ballistic deflection, deformation, penetration and terminal effect in direct correlation to various vehicle mediums.  This course will have long, physically intensive days. Please prepare for it.

Firing from inside the vehicle, driver, passenger side, front and back seat.

  • Exiting the vehicle.

  • Use of the vehicle as cover and concealment.

  • Penetration testing on doors and windows.

  • Weapon presentation from inside the vehicle.

  • Non-conventional shooting platforms.

  • Tactical shooting techniques.

Student Requirements:

  • A modern, serviceable, center-fire handgun (Semi-Automatic Pistol or Double Action Revolver .38 special or 9mm or above.) with a carry case.

  • Ear and Eye protection (electronic muffs preferred).

  • Strong Side Holster- OTW only

  • 400 rounds of factory loaded FMJ standard pressure ammunition (no reloads)

  • Two extra functional magazines (semi-autos – 3 total) or speed-loaders (revolvers)

  • Dual Magazine carrier optional but HIGHLY recommended.

  • Sturdy Shoes, Long Pants, Shirt with Higher Collar

  • A quality belt designed to anchor gear to your body

  • Comfortable clothing, knee-pads (recommended but optional)

  • Hydration system or Bottled water

  • Baseball Cap
